"Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality."
~Warren G. Bennis

Leadership is a privilege and an honor, but it is also a tremendous responsibility.  My philosophy of leadership is one of collaboration and teamwork within which members of a team can utilize one anothers' strengths to counter individual weaknesses.  The greatest leaders know their limitations and are adept at leveraging their strengths and the strengths of others to compensate.

A leader is someone who listens well, can effectively motivate and inspire, and provides a team with thoughtful vision and strategic direction.  A leader is one who leads by example and empowers her followers.  A leader deeply understands the needs of the people she leads and thoughtfully considers her actions and their impact on her followers.

"It is not so much what people do in this world as their reasons for doing which really makes a difference.  Sacrifices are not so important as the reasons for which you sacrifice, and no sarcifice is any good which remains ever present as such."  ~Eleanor Roosevelt

"You can accomplish anything in life as long as you don't mind who gets the credit."  ~Harry S. Truman
